Tammy Uyeda
PT, BScPT

Tammy graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1997 with her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine (Physiotherapy) and originally specialized in occupational rehabilitation, injury prevention. Her active lifestyle and personal background in competitive sport and fitness led her to join Sage Sport Institute in 2015 and is inspired to be working with active and motivated physiotherapy clients of all ages and abilities.

Tammy works to empower her clients to more confidently manage their injury and return them to their pre­injury lifestyle. With advanced coursework in shoulder, knee, fool/ankle, thoracic spine/ribs and pelvis rehabilitation Tammy uses a combination of a hands-on and exercise-based approach to restoring normal mechanics and function.

Outside of her clinical physiotherapy practice Tammy loves working from the other end with injury risk ­reduction for youth and teen soccer teams. She can also be found volunteering as a judo coach, online in social media inspiring fitness and an active lifestyle, on the sidelines of her three boys’ soccer games and running around the hills of Kamloops.

Tyler McQueen
MPT BSC

After completing his Bachelor’s of Science at Thompson Rivers University Tyler went on to achieve his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Tyler is a strong advocate for working towards creating an individualized treatment plan to optimize the path to recovery for all of his clients. He uses functional movement patterns, manual therapy, exercise prescription and/or Dry Needling to work towards client goals. Tyler’s special interests in physiotherapy are sports injuries, orthopaedic conditions, and osteoarthritis. Outside the clinic, Tyler can be found mountain biking, playing hockey, or fly fishing.

Danielle Boyd
MPT, BHK, PMP

With specialties in functional neurology and acupuncture, Danielle has over 10 years of physiotherapy experience. With training in Advanced NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT), Advanced Proprioceptive-Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR), Integrated Craniosacral Modalities and Acupuncture Canada Level 2, Danielle has carved a unique approach to her physiotherapy practice. Danielle approaches each case with the understanding that every nervous system is unique in history, movement patterns and therapeutic needs and approaches every treatment plan uniquely and at the root cause level.

In addition to her physiotherapy training, Danielle has developed a deep interest in business and clinic management. She has sought further training in Project Management, recently obtaining her Project Management Professional designation and she also contributes actively to advocacy in the physiotherapy profession.

Cara Nordin
BSc, DPT

Cara graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012 from the University of Texas in El Paso where she also played NCAA Division 1 soccer. She started her career in Texas working in a Children’s Hospital rehabilitating children with orthopedic, neurological and integumentary concerns. Since moving back to Canada, Cara has diversified her skills into the adult population and pursued additional coursework in taping, dry needling, female & male urinary incontinence, female &male pelvic pain as well as maintain her certification as a sport first responder. She is also a physiotherapist for the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack. Cara integrates education, motor control and exercise in order to optimize function and maximize her client’s goals.
